Handsome Joel Svatek 1969-2003

There are moments in life when the rock show is done, you lay your horns on the table, and even the cold, dark heart of a Satan's Cheerleader melts at the loss of a friend. Handsome Joel always shared himself with his friends and our community. The crew in Austin will never be the same without his contributions, his smiles, and those trademark hugs.

Handsome Joel passed Monday eve Jan 27, 2003 after being hit by a drunk driver on Superbowl Sunday. The Cheerleaders will bury parts of ourselves with him on Friday January 31st, 2003 @ 2pm.

Handsome Joel, you will be missed. We will stay loud so you can still hear our cheers; we throw you the horns.
